Alright, so yet another long time before an update, but hey, at least I get on occasionally, right? Anyways, looking forward to having 9 days off of work. I'm going to be going to see quite a few people, and I'm excited about that. Tonight I'm going to the Costco Christmas party. It's going to be fun. I'll have to see if someone we know is there and has a camera. Other than that, nothing much has really been going on with me.

Well, I haven't kept up with this as well as I'd hoped, but I still am keeping up with it.

I had a pretty good thanksgiving. Spent it with David, his sister (Rachel), his mom (Vicky), and his mom's boyfriend (Ron). I baked a cake for it, which is awesome, especially because our oven likes to burn stuff. Rachel commented on how good it was, then remembered about the oven, and said it was amazing considering the circumstances. It made me happy, because she bakes quite a bit.

Work has been pretty slow, although it's started to pick up now that the Durham Performance Art Center opened up across the street. Last night (Sunday night) BB King played there for the first performance. Apparently they got swamped. Hopefully the GM will start scheduling people wisely. Because even though I made good money tonight, I am tired beyond belief. It shouldn't be possible to make $550 in sales in 5 hours with most of the checks coming to $20. Oh well. I get to talk to my manager tomorrow about making the day shift do silverware, because we ran out by the end of the night. We were also out of most of our wines. All in all, not fun. Oh well.

I'm excited that I have furniture now. Well, more furniture. David's dad (Peter) gave us some. So now we have another couch, a dining room table, a couple of folding chairs, a bedside table, and an actual bed. I also have my stuff that was in Peter's attic. I want to get a bookcase at some point so that I can display my porcelain dolls.

I should be getting to bed at some point in the near future. I will have pictures eventually. I just have no way to take them.

scary stuff

Well, so my computer hasn't died, for which I am very grateful.

I had the most scary experience today. To preface it all, I've been having some trouble with my battery (yes Mom, I do intend to talk to Jody about it). The trouble is it doesn't seem to be keeping a charge. So anyways, I went to fill up my tank on the way to dropping off my friend, Luke, at his place. Well, I turned the car and lights off, and got out to fill it. So I filled it up, and when I got in to start the car, it didn't have enough battery power to do so. I didn't have anything running in my car, so there was no reason for it to do so. Then we drove around for about 20 minutes to make sure it would stay on, and then I dropped him off at home. I get on the interstate on the way home, and apparently there had been an accident. So my battery ended up dying again, this time in the middle of the interstate. I tried jumping it with the jumper box, but it didn't have enough energy apparently. It had enough energy to give me emergency signals, but that was about it. I called Luke because he was the closest person to me, and he came out and gave me a jump, and then everything was fine. But the fact that it died in the middle of the interstate scared the living daylights out of me. I hope to never have to do that again. I have brought up my jumper box so that it can recharge.

Well, it seems as though my laptop has died or something. It keeps freezing when I boot it up. It's very frustrating. Hopefully that's not the case and having it turned off for over 24 hours will help. Otherwise I'll be stuck using David's computer, which he is frequently on. *shrugs* Oh well. Looking forward to my test in accounting tomorrow. Yes, I know. I did mean to say looking forward to. I am really enjoying that class. Hence why I am changing my major from Business Administration to Accounting. I really hope I continue to enjoy it.

You know, it's weird to think that David is 22. Most of the time the age gap doesn't seem that big, but this two month gap when we are 3 years apart by numbers is always kind of weird. You'd think that after four years together I would be able to deal with it better, right? Oh well. Soon I'll be 20 and won't feel as weird about it.

Anyways, there isn't really anything else going on. Later.

So...

I found Aunt Pam's blog, saw that other family members had one, and decided that it was a great way to keep up with people. We will see how well it goes. Over here I'm keeping busy with school and work, although I am finding time to hang out with friends. I'm very happy about that fact, because I am a very social person. Perhaps there will be more for me to post later, but it is late, and I should be getting to bed. I do have work at 8 in the morning. At least I get off at 3...
